How Mesh Local works
Get a weekly invite. Mesh Local texts you a time and a local venue. You decide whether you want to go that week. No pressure.
Tap yep or nope. Open the link, say yes or no, and Mesh Local takes it from there.
Meet your group. Mesh Local forms a small group, usually around four people, using your profile and personality quiz. Before the meetup, you get your group photos and a group chat for last-minute details.
What you can join
Coffee Saturday: meet a small group at a local coffee shop or cafe.
Mesh Local Night: meet people at local breweries, bars, and night venues.
Mesh Local Events: host or join casual events around your city. Start a run club, game night, coffee meetup, dinner, Bible study, book club, brewery night, or something completely your own. You can host your own event for free, and Mesh Local helps form the groups.
Discover, commit, connect
Mesh Local combines event discovery, event creation, matching, reminders, and small-group formation.
First, you discover weekly Mesh Local events, user-created events, coffee shops, bars, restaurants, and local experiences. Then you commit by accepting an invite or joining an event. Then Mesh Local groups you with people nearby so the meeting is built in.
The simplest version is this: Mesh Local finds three people nearby who are worth meeting in person, gives the group a public place and time, and helps everyone show up.
Why people use Mesh Local
Mesh Local is for making friends in real life, meeting new people in your city, exploring local coffee shops and third places, and trying something better than swiping.
It is useful when you just moved to a new city, feel stuck in your routine, want to meet in a group instead of one-on-one, or have an idea for bringing people together.
Most platforms help people find events. Mesh Local helps people know who to meet when they get there.
Why small groups make it easier
Mesh Local usually forms groups of four. That size matters. It is small enough for a real conversation and large enough to take pressure off any one person.
You get your group photos before the meetup, plus a group chat for practical details. The goal is not to keep you messaging forever. The goal is to get you to a real place with real people.
People do not need another feed. They need a reason to sit across from each other.
Safety, privacy, and availability
Connections are always in public, in a group setting. We never sell your data.
Mesh Local is currently sending invites in Madison, Milwaukee, Nashville, Charlotte, Raleigh, and Minneapolis. Do not see your city yet? Sign up anyway. We will text you when Mesh Local launches near you.
You can receive invites for free. Accepting an invite may require Premium or a Mesh Local Pass, and user-hosted events are currently free to create and attend. Check the app for current pricing before purchasing.
